Upcoming Features - December
In December I'm going to try and work a bit more on the player facing 'town' view. What this is intended for is for people to use it to remember what people have claimed to them during discussions. Similar to how the online game works, where you can assign a role to someone's token on your own private Grimoire.
I also want to add some kind of 'soft claimed' data as well, if someone gave you 3 roles in a 3 for 3, so you can note that "Bob" claimed to be either the Undertaker, Ravenkeeper or Soldier for example.
I think I'll also add a notes feature to this as well, where people can write down more free-form notes about what was discussed.
This is very early in the ideas stage and is just something I've been working on in the background, more as an excuse to learn more about the newer technology stack I'm using for the separate 'sheets' frontend app, than something that might end up being released. But if there's enough demand for it, then it will become available.
For it to become a proper feature, I will need to update the Town Creation view for the Storyteller, so that they can set another password. One for the players and one for the Storyteller. This is to avoid the situation where a player can use the password to connect to the town view, and then just click 'Show Grim' to see what everyone is.
This view uses a separate endpoint that doesn't contain the role information, just the player names and whether they are alive or dead.
